A convenience store in Bear was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning, Delaware State Police said Thursday. According to authorities, the suspect entered the 24/7 Food Mart at 2445 Pulaski Highway around 11:15 a.m. on January 10, 2018, and pulled a gun the 27-year-old male clerk behind the counter

An 87-year-old Ocean View man died Jan. 8 after a crash on Route 113 near Frankford. The 87-year-old man was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer at 11:09 a.m. westbound on Route 54 approaching the intersection with Route 113 when for unknown reason he went through a stop sign and into the intersection, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.

Tractor trailer overturns in Georgetown. A tractor trailer traveling north on U.S. 113 Jan. 4 ran off the roadway and overturned. The tractor trailer was north of Arrow Safety Road at 1 a.m. when it went off the east edge of the roadway and drove into a ditch, said Detective Joey Melvin, spokesman for the Georgetown Police Department.

A man accused of fatally shooting three co-workers and wounding three other people has been indicted in Maryland. The Harford County State's Attorney's office said in a statement that 38-year-old Radee Prince was indicted Tuesday on three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and firearm offenses.

New Castle, Delaware shooting at 113 Parma Ave: 1 killed
A tractor-trailer crash closed Summit Bridge Road (U.S. 301) north of Middletown this morning, the Delaware Department of Transportation reported.
One person was killed in a shooting in the Arbor Place community near New Castle early today. New Castle County police said the fatal shooting happened about 12:50 a.m. in the first block of Parma Ave. Police said they responded to a report of shots fired and found the victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man who fled after he crashed his car Friday in Rehoboth Beach has died of his injuries, Delaware State Police said. Police said Lawarence E. Cassidy Sr., 62, of Rehoboth Beach was involved in a crash Dec. 22 at about 7 p.m. on Airport Road at Old Landing Road

A 17-year-old Newark girl killed in a motor vehicle crash in Bear Tuesday night was identified by Delaware State Police Wednesday. According to authorities, Caitlin Rouwhorst was killed when she turned her Saturn SL 2 into the path of an oncoming 2011 Dodge Nitro being operated by a 27-year-old Newark man as he approached the intersection of Cornell Drive and Salem Church Road.
A 91-year-old Maine man has died following a late October crash along I-295 east of Newport, Delaware State Police announced Tuesday. Eugene Paine, of Ellsworth, was involved in the crash on Friday, October 27, 2017, around 7:05 p.m. north of I-495 near the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution, police said.
A man was robbed at gunpoint as he was returning home over the weekend, Delaware State Police said. Troopers said the armed robbery happened at 12:46 a.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017, as a 31-year-old man was entering a residence on the 6100 block of Summit Bridge Road near Townsend.
Two people were taken to a hospital after a DART bus and another vehicle collided this morning, according to reports from the scene. The crash happened about 7 a.m. on Lancaster Pike at Barley Mill Plaza. One injury was reported on each of the vehicles.

Wilmington, Delaware shooting at E 17th St: 1 injured
Delaware State Police have identified the suspect who was killed in an incident that also left a trooper injured. Police say 30-year-old Adam Radcliffe of Wilmington was shot and killed when he attempted to flee police during a traffic stop, dragging a trooper as he fled.
Delaware State Police are investigating an incident where they said a trooper was dragged by a vehicle, forcing him to fatally shoot the suspect. The 30-year-old suspect later died from his injuries at a local hospital.
Delaware State Police say a trooper has shot and killed a man during a traffic stop. Spokesman Sgt. Richard Bratz says in a news release that a trooper tried to perform a traffic stop Friday afternoon in Wilmington and was dragged by the suspect's vehicle. The trooper then shot the 30-year-old suspect, who later died at a hospital. Authorities have not released the name of the suspect, who is from Wilmington.

A suspect robbing a Bear tobacco store at gunpoint fired a shot into the ceiling during the ordeal, Delaware State Police said Thursday. According to authorities, the suspect vaulted the counter of the Tobacco Store at 1645 Pulaski Highway around 9:10 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, and demanded cash from the register from a 21-year-old man working there.
